Hollywood Party goes to Schoeneberg!

plakat_3_2017_shorts_320-2
Hollywood Party, our favorite movie radio programme, was broadcasting from Schoeneberg today!  But do you realise, where you were broadcasting from, Crespi Mauti and Mereghetti? what that “big, empty building” is?

You were at the ex-RIAS Deutschlandfunk building, basically across “our” park…it is an historical place where to be…I hope you realise it! The sound of free Germany during the Cold War…and you should read Joseph Kanon’s “Leaving Berlin”….

Maybe a little quiet, that park street, today on top it was “saukalt” 🙂 but believe us, it’s a jolly good Kiez!

Berlinale Berlinale delle mie brame…

plakat_6_2017_generation_320

Berlinale: Fuocoammare wins Golden Bear

1-format530

I am very happy that an Italian documentary expressive of our Zeitgeist has won the Golden Bear at the Berlinale. More Italian cinema in the world’s theaters. More awareness on this topic. Bravo Gianfranco Rosi. Looking forward to see this movie. I wonder if blockbuster-oriented Dusseldorf cinemas will schedule it…

Karlovy Vary’s 50th

P1160292What a fabulous day…the heat is putting a siege to Europe but fresh wind swirls along Karlovy Vary’s Teplà’s valley. From the balcony of our hotel we just looked at the red carpet opening ceremony of the 50th KV Film Festival. The small city today is in full swing, full of “festivaliers” with their orange lanyard and passes, the majority of them young.

Needless to say, quite a different red carpet experience compared to our usual Berlinale icy experience!
