Gita fuori porta

In the Spring, in Rome, we used a lot this expression. A mini-break outside the city gates, ie in the countryside, at the lakes, on the mountains…good food, nice landscapes…

Gita fuori porta, in the outskirts of Dusseldorf, in many cases means Industriekultur. Visiting defunct factories, now reborn als Cathedrals of Work, like Zollverein in Essen. Or existing factories…and I am thinking about going to have a look at the Tesla factory in Tilburg, in The Netherlands…
