Tatlin, Lissitzky, Melnikov…Kabakov

P1210105

The first association is with Tatlin…but being this Kabokovs’ work – exposed here at Zollverein Salzlager – there’s irony in it…

P1210115

…futuristic cities built with pic-nic material…

P1210111

…salvation using firemen stairs….

P1210117

and the definition of win-win…

P1210119

So the Russian constructivist tradition continues, tongue-in-cheek…(when was it, what we saw Ilya and Emilia Kabakov’s works for the first time? in Rome, MAXXI…during its construction…must have been in the early 2000s).

????????????????????????????????????
