Gufini calling


MeinMann was telling me today that one thing quite unique to Yorkshire is the fact that upon exiting the office in the evening you can hear a gufino – owl – in the darkness of the countryside…

I remember hearing gufini by night in Umbria, during a Summer evening dinner close to Civita di Bagnoregio…suggestive place…


But the gufini happen to be ubiquitous, and pop up also in New York, at Barney’s – courtesy of Fornasetti – or in old ladies’ flats…
