A gift from Bob

P1180501On Friday I took Mimì to the Tierklinik. It was a grey, damp, dark day. I was not in the mood for shopping, besides, I need nothing really, so what’s the point.

So I went thru my checklist and yes, the time felt right for shopping for Italian and German Christmas sweets for an office breakfast. With my supply of panettone and Stolle, I decided that I needed something better than splurging money on yet another magazine displaying the same perfume ads and clothes you see everywhere. And I know that the answer to the questions of the tortured soul, with time to kill waiting to pick up Mimì from the surgery, was to buy a book and read it. So I sat at Mayersche, reading A gift from Bob.

I had loved A streetcat named Bob, “We children of Bahnhof Zoo” meets a cute cat & owner story. You may find it cheesy, but I love to read the story of James and Bob, and how Bob helped James out of its heroin addiction.

I was almost at the end of the book when the russian surgeon called “Mimì hat die O-p gut ueberstanden. Sie koennen ihn in eine Stunde abholen”. Mimì also likes the book.
