Being constructive

Yesterday night I was watching tv, one of my favorite channels, rbb – the Berlin television. Quite interestingly they have just started a news programme for refugees, in English and Arabic. You can check the website of this program, which comes with a German translation pdf document for those interested in knowing what’s being sad…or interested in learning German, of course…

A first video about Germany cannot ignore the history of the country, which will sound familiar to many refugees: pre-war dictator, war, destruction…post-war dictators…

The website has all sorts of links to “getting to understand people in Germany”, what is allowed in our society – shaking hands, having eye contact, asking questions – and what is not – being disrespectful to women or men, hitting women or children (or men of course). And of course all sorts of practical information. But among telephone numbers for administration offices and public transport information, quite important to get acquainted with the Constitution (or Basic Law).

A constructive action in days of destructive newsflow. size=320x180-1
