Wintry atmosphere, the pleasure of meeting at home with friends… dinners and good conversations mixed with colder weather: we love it!
The week was rich in events – even if the Nov 1st holiday introduced a Sunday feeling in between – and we’re more than ever in constructive mood…we peruse kitchen websites, think if these boxes full of books should be definitely emptied, we will probably patent our new concept of curtains (and call it iron curtain…since magnets are involved). We’re indeed in projecting mood!
The unpredictable northern weather has introduced in our whereabouts a kind of “busy bee” behaviour. The sun moments in Germany need careful preparedness and rapid deployment abilities: if the weather is fine, then outdoors has the absolute priority, be it bike, motorbike meetings arranged in a spontaneus (very spontaneous even by German standards) way, a walk in the woods or along the river.
Still I enjoy the pleasures of nesting at home or thinking about home when the weather just gets lousy wet and unfriendly. And this is exactly how this week was. Full of projects, discoveries (another Brauerei, a modern one in Pempelfort), business meetings with competent and dependable professionals (all ladies), bold decisions, and also a sense of déjà vu…like in November 2007
that “go for it” feeling.
Maybe this is why we love it here in Germany. You get things done. You see things being planned, carried over and completed. You do the same. That is a great feeling. Never before “Made in Germany” felt so right to us.
